Idodi Secondary

On the way to Ruaha NP Sam took us to his Secondary School in the town of Idodi right outside of the National Park.  Idodi is a very well known secondary school in this area as it draws students from all over Tanzania.  The teachers and students are very dedicated and their test scores on the 4 Compulsory Form exams show it.  Kids travel miles to attend this particular school.  The headmaster told us instruction goes on most nights until 10 pm.  There are 1000+ students here, boys and girls with about 100+ boarders.  If you followed our blog last year you know there was a terrible fire here when Sam was young.  Because of Sam's connection with the school and the fire caused by late night studying by candle light, we shipped over 100 Luci Solar powered lights to this school before we came.  The pictures are mostly the students meeting the kids and thanking us for the solar lights.
